Look evidently I have gone off the beam. I have Blender 2.74 open here and went looking for a add-on in preferences. And, there it was: Yafaray albeit unchecked. Now keep in mind I haven’t even attempted to install Yafaray in 2.74. So of course I checked it and now I have Yafaray working great in 2.74.

Could it be that you have a Blender 32 bit build on your Windows 64 system?

I downloaded and installed again. But the same information appears in “system-info.txt” the problem must be in the download site then.

I also cut once downloaded version of blender.org.
This “platform: b’Windows: 32bit” appears to be normal.

Once saved with the blender.org version and YafaRay.v0.1.99-beta2, but no spaces in the path.

I cannot see the attachments. Please will you post them again? I checked the Windows 64bit build with AVG Free and it did not detect any threat but I would like to see what Avast detected to be sure.

Also, for your information I have made a YafaRay test scene to quickly and easily check if a certain YafaRay installation handles correctly all the Texture image file formats (JPG, PNG, TIFF, TGA, HDR and EXR).

Thanks for making this alive again!

Downloaded 64 bit Linux version- installation and check addon for GB 2.74.4 branch went without a glitch, default cube scene did show rendering activities however ended in transparency checkerboard.
Console does not show any errors except it does not show YafaRay version either - it is “None”: http://www.pasteall.org/58071/text
What i have possibly done wrong, any advice? Quite aged Mint version (14), could this be an issue?
