Settled for the Night

Yeah I definitely need to tweak the lighting a bit more in the image so you can see it better.

So I made her a bit brighter and now she looks very mean (she haven’t had her morning coffee yet). I also decided to name her Florence.

Nice midel but I do have to give you an advise I hope you’ll follow.
give it a pose.
bend the legs, break the curves. Curvy limbs is a mistake, fingers, legs, arms have all curves and angles.
check monsters from the lord of the ring for exemple, they all have sharp attribute. Break the symetrie of your midel by moving her legs.
make them closer to the body as she was approaching, stealthy and ready to jump. Predator poetry

Something like this maybe? It’s a typical spider defensive stance but it also looks quite terrifying.

Quick update:
I made the small log the man is sitting on. It only took 10 minutes so that’s good.

Yeah, I think it’s more dynamic.

I would also bend the third right arm closer to the body to break the alignement on the left of the picture.
But yeah, whatever, you’ve got he point. Your spider is not just put there, it’s now acting

Erk, I’d hate to model that… Anyway your spider is really good looking (for a spider…) ^^

Creepy ^^
I think what also would look cool on your spider would be some “acting” with the fangs.
So as it would be preparing to jump on its prey and inject its venom into its lunch. Don’t know if you
understand what I mean

Although, the Spider looks awesome! Don’t want to meet it during a walk in the woods

I get what you mean I just can’t actually raise the fangs because… reasons. Maybe I could add some venom dripping from the tips though.

I think its friggin awesome! The concept art on its own is brilliant

That spider is awesome! I can already tell this is going to be an amazing piece of art. It will easily ascend to the top row.

Hey people! I just wanted to make a quick update. I haven’t been working on this for a couple days and I don’t really have any good excuse, I just didn’t feel like it. Anyway I’m back to work, fully motivated again!

I decided that the guy is the hardest part of the image so I’m starting work on him early. Currently I’m working on some clothes. He needs a lot more layers and it will take a while.

The character model looks very good so far.

Although, the shoulders seem a little flat, and the spacing on the toes looks a little strange. This may not matter though, depending on whether these things will be noticable once you have added more clothing.

Also, you’re spider looks badass! incredible modelling mate

Thank you! Pretty much everything apart from the head and the hands will be covered in clothes. I’ll work on those when the clothes are done

Hi, nice modeling  I noticed the fingers are a bit strange, probably too thin, and the index finger is really long… ^^

More clothes!

I think I’m starting to get the hang of this. First time modeling clothes you know.

it’s like that dream where you go to school and realize you forgot your pants.

Pants!
