Screenshot Extra Extra!

Hey, Your entry looks very nice! I didnt look at it long but I didnt see anything popping out at my eyes that were out of place. Keep it up!

Looks really good Venom - I recognize some of those textures =)

Maybe I make a machine myself.

Yes, the thread must live!!

If you would like to see a screenshot or video of our graphics on Organica in action, go here, though keep in mind that they’re old, and we have some better effects now:

This is a neat thread. I haven’t really got too much to post at this time, but I have a few things in the works

Hello guys, I’m working on an RPG in my spare time. Here are some of the screenshots (currently still in the making)

Other than the level design, I’m currently learning about the flow of the code, the logic bricks in relation to use with code, and just using the Blender Game Engine in general.

Wow! There are a lot of great projects going on around here. Brandon, the leaves on those trees look awesome (especially in the first picture).

Not quite ready to release any screens of current work yet, but when I am, I’ll put a few here.

looking like a pretty cool contraption so far venom. Yup, those screens are ofcourse realtime, and there are quite alot of animated brush stroke effects flowing through the world…like dim said, you can check out those vids on the Organica thread(though they are a bit outdated).

nice screens Branon, looks pretty interesting!

Now brandon, that is some mighty hot work, there. You should totally be using radiosity baking for something like that.

Brandon:

Those level designs are very nice, they definately show off blender’s potential in making RPG games. How many polygons are in each scene?

Wow thanks for the compliments guys  There are some very sweet screenshots posted before mines now that I see them! Great stuff!

Ok, I haven’t looked into radiosity baking quite yet, but I’ll def. take a look into it. It sounds like it could be very useful.

Ven0mSevenX:
You’re project is looking pretty cool as well.

The scene with the trees is:
9,449 faces.

And the other one (the ruins) is:
12,012 faces.

Also, I haven’t converted any of the faces to triangles yet.

Radiosity baking ha.

Use the new render baking feature found in the upcoming release, it’ll allow you to do such things as lightmapping with no subdivision of geometry.

The main character from a game I’m working on:

oh cool, I’m diggin the style there

I’d like to see your wires if you don’t mind maybe

Edit: How are you planning on riggin him? Maybe you can give me some tips lol

I wanna try doing a Ludwig but that is expert calibur stuff

Weight paint just isn’t cutting it at the moment.

Who, Me?
Edit:
Already Rigged him. I just use vertex assignment to rig.

Wires:

yeah I love to study low poly models

btw, would you mind PM’ing me and telling me how you did the vertex group assignment, I’ve never figured that out

thanks

Great thread idea, perfect for people like me who don’t have time to finish things, ever.

Here’s a low poly hand ive been working on, fully rigged and unwrapped, about 500 triangles (planned for use as main character’s hands in an FPS. Will hopefully upload the blend once i get some sample textures done). Seeing as a trout could beat me in a texturing competition though that could take all weekend.

Heres a test I was doing to test AO baking, i was planning on building a small environment to maybe update the one in the walkthrough template but its a tougher task than i first thought.

Thats a pretty cool hand, but the fingers look either too thin or not long enough (or both).

Oh, another opportunity to brag around

3 Year old project, never continued, unfortunately ;(

(Note: There was no AO baking and shit back then

(Note2: Could there please be an option to turn this freaking WYSIWYG-Editor off? Thanks.)

(Note3: It seems like the “A/A” symbol on the upper right (without tooltip) does it anyway.)

Brandon, awesome feel to that project, can’t wait to see that one finished.

Intrr: That art work looks great. Looks too good to leave in the closet. Great job anyway!

I think this thread is a really good idea and very inspiring… shows off what’s possible in the GE without having to wait for completed projects… must keep this thread alive
