Modern Vampire Hunter

Looks VERY good. Personally I think her neck is a bit TOO thin. I “Get” the style, but I still think she needs a bit more diameter to her neck—Not too much, but a little more beyond an almost literal “pencil neck”.

Thanks for the critique. I was feeling something off about her neck too. Either it’s too long or too thin.

Here’s an update. First WIP of the environment. I’m trying to go for an old London alleyway. Still figuring out how to use VRay, so I botched the render settings and ended up with a lot of noise. I’m also getting displacement map tearing at the UV seams, and I’ve been struggling to fix it.

Here’s an update on the main character. Finished retopologizing and texturing.

Looking great so far!

Perhaps sss is a little to strong?
idk

You’re work looks amazing so far.
I love your character creation skills. Very inspirig

The SSS is a bit too strong I think, or you may havn’t used a SSS factor map making it the same scall on the whole character.
What I mean is that her skinn looks a bit to orangy and saturated for my taste but she’s amazing anyway :o

Wow, amazing! I agree with what is stated above she looks very waxy. Unfortunately I do not know much about skin shaders but maybe more diffuse and more gloss?

Keep up the great work! I will be following this one

Thanks everyone. I knocked the sss scale back to around 60% of what it once was and it does look better. She’s supposed to be of Indian descent, and I’m having a bit of trouble getting the skin tone right. Have to tweak that some more.

Here’s a minor update on the skin.

Testing out the rig. I used the Pitchi Poy version of Rigify. It’s pretty good. Didn’t have to do a lot of weight painting. This also means that the weights can still be cleaned up more, but it’s good enough for a posing rig.

This is coming along great, awesome work!

It reminds me a little the style of http://vitorugo.com/

You should definitely make a tutorial (or making of) when the project is finished

All i can say is WOW WOW and WOW

really nice action pose.

very lovely work!

That just looks stupendous. =D

Amazing work so far. How are you posing the hair? By hand? Is it possible to rig hair strands?

Love the pose.

Awesome poses and expressions!!

Awesome project, love the action pose! Can’t wait to see it finished.

Amazing pose.
the putchipoy rig is killer, so powerfull even if I don’t like yhe finger controlers.

did you use Zbrush for retopo?
your mesh seems very dense or it’s a subsurf without optimal display?
some topology choice like the shirt redirection makes me feel like you’ve used some automated process ^_^, did you?
amazing work… You 're really impressive

I lovf your shaders, can’t wait to see all these composed.
5*
