I don’t use objects and constrain them to an emitter, I’ve tried it and it’s a nightmare.
What I have here is just plain compositing, no textures, it’s all generated, I mainly use the Glare nodes ‘Ghosts’ to calculate the location of the ‘elements’ in the effect, but I’m not going in to detail since this is going to be for sale on Blender Market, telling you my secret would spoil the sale… sorry
I might make a tutorial in the future on advanced compositing,
