Hi guys
What’s the easiest way to fill in this area? I’ve tried the fill options but they don’t work…
T
Here is on not the one i was looking for
TI was thinking there is another script but Im not finding it I do not know its name.
Select the 2 top vertices and press F to create an edge between them
Press W -> Subdivide
Press F6 and at the “Number of cuts” set it up so the top edge has the same amount of vertices as the bottom edge
From then 2 possibilties
the fastest :
other possibility , longer but i just put it there for completion :
Select the whole boundaries
Hold SHIFT and right click on one of the vertices that would be the diagonal of the zone to unselect it
Hold SHIFT and right click on it again to select it, and as it’s the last vertice selected it takes another color, meaning it is the “Active Vertice”
Now press CTRL+F -> Grid Fill and you’ll obtain the same result as previously (the active vertice is meant for those “whole boundary selection” cases, to tell the Grid Fill what is the “diagonal” of the filling, you can also press F6 and play with its setting too)
There are addons like EWOC Project’s Quadder (it can be found in the contrib addon under Mesh -> EWOC Project Tool that will add a toolbar like looptool in edit mode) that does not need you to add an edge and subdivide it correctly :
Now Quadder seems better but unfortunately there are many cases it will not work, while Grid Fill has no problem ( as long as there’s even amount of vertices) and Grid Fill has options when you press F6 to tweak the result as you need
Awesome, thank you very much
