Really looking great… I’m not familiar with the bike, but are you adding turn signals, brake lights ect.

Nice tricks @ your tutorial! Is there a reason for not using the bridge tool? I love it cause merg’in can suck sometimes

Looking good so far. I think you have the matt black down well. Only crit regarding the modeling is that the top of the side cover panel (the one behind the carbs) should be parallel to the frame rail. Adjust that and it will look a lot better.

if it is a plastic seat it looks nice
but i thnk it should be more like leather

happy cycles

Jesus!

Wh… h…

Okay, 1. where are your reference images from?

  1. How long have you been modeling?

I’m totally intent on doing a 1200 Sportster, one day, once I get this frigging character model I’m working on out of the way.

Thanks Guys

harleynut97 - Some cafe racers doesn’t have turn lights like here http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Pbt3_qDy6GU/T4-fkCjKuJI/AAAAAAAAA64/U1ifkxCaIjg/s1600/triumph_deus_venice4.jpg ;)) always you can use your hands  brake light probably I should make :stuck_out_tongue:

Scott Graham - bridge tool… of course! I knew I could do it better! The problem is I am switching from Maya where the bridge tool just doesn’t work

Touchwood - Thank you! I changed it and it looks much better. You will see with next update. It’s good to have a bonneville expert here!

RickyBlender - It’s leather but now this is just light test shading… I will create leather shader for sure

DorienVincent - 1 - google and the-blueprints.com (I was lucky to have a nice hi-res blueprints like http://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints-depot/motorcycles/triumph-motorcycles/triumph-bonneville-t100-2008-5.gif)

2 - hmm I don’t know but something like 2-3 months around 5-15h per week. It’s my learning Blender project with no deadline so I work quite slow, but with a lots of fun

thank you for tyour feedback!

The bike is looking great, ptaszek! Very good, classic styling. Everything fits together very well, excellent modeling job.

you should get the latest 2.69
the bridge and gridfill tool works a lot better!

happy bl

looks like a very solid model. nice job. i like the classic styling of the bike too.

Thank you!

time for a rider soon! thanks!

pretty damn good dude  nice materials
pozdro

very nice moddeling work! I personlly think that the color is to matt black. I think a little bit of glossy will make it even more beautifull, but that is my taste.
keep on the good work!

Thanks/Dzieki

very nice
but for render it is sort of white wash
intensity is too high i think!
leather is looking like plastic
i can find you a cycle mat for leather if needed!

can you show the engine alone

thanks

Looking much better, definitely has the classic home built cafe racer feel to it.

The seat would be plastic not leather. Plastic is waterproof = dry crotch (after a fashion) but leather = permanent wet crotch (leather would soak up and hold the water).

Only one point re the modeling. The float bowls on the carbs should be deeper and the joint line should be immediately below the throat of the carb. I can supply photo if you need a better reference to illustrate what I mean.

If the idea is to make it look as if it is used, the exhaust pipes would have a blueing from the head that fades to chrome (which generally starts around the lower bend by the splash plate. Never seen a Bonneville that doesn’t have this. My bike had this before I even got it off the forecourt!!! :-). Needs a chain guard as well if you need to keep it legal.

Excellent job though, well done . . .

P.S How about a shot of the other side?

Hello guys  I did some post preview but I am not happy with it… I will make a good post with the character on the bike  now it make no sense… I just wanted to test shaders and cycles. It works awesome for me and really fast  so i hope it will be nice image at the end.
