Basically title, i go through to the blend file, select the object to append. Come back to the main scene, problem is there is no appended object… it didnt do anything.
It will do it for any other object in that scene other than a simple mesh

Doesn’t work, they are from different blend files.
I did eventually found a workaround. If i made a copy of the mesh in the original scene, I could append THAT.
Weirdly, when I applied a bool modifier in the new scene later, it listed ten copies of the object that failed to import.
