Hi,

I know I’m a bit late to the game in this thread,
but I’m looking for some sound opinions and insight about the PC build I’m researching to get.

I’ve dappled in Blender before (roughly ten years ago), and I’ve some basic knowledge of 3D, such as,
modeling, texturing, particles, lighting, etc.

So, I would label myself as a novice at best; with that said, here is what I’ve researched so far.

CPU - Intel i7 - 6700 Skylake - 3.4 GHz
Memory - 16 GB - DDR 4
Graphics Card - Geforce GTX 1070 Founders Edition - 8GB - 256 Bit - GDDR5 (Cuda Cores - 1920)

I won’t list the other components because I’m confident in what I’ve chosen to complete the rest of my build.

I’ll be running a Linux system to do all of my creative work, and using Blender mostly for motion graphics;
in addition, to practicing character modeling , texturing, lighting, etc.

Overall, I’ll be using my system for photography, video editing, and graphic design.
I want to use my system for personal and freelance projects, basically a creative workstation.

So, with the core components that I’ve listed, what is your opinion?

Is what I’ve researched sufficient enough for what I want to do?

Am I missing anything to take into consideration?

I’m open to any sound suggestions.

Thanks, and kindest regards.

Lenovo is the best one to buy.
