Walk cycle velocity speed change (without foot sliding)

That sounds really useful! How do you determine the correct speed at which to animate the offset to match the walk cycle? Is it just trial-and-error, adjusting two keyframes in the dopesheet little by little until the feet stop slipping? Thank you Hadriscus! I really appreciate the time you’ve taken to help me.

Yes, trial and error. Zoom on the foot, switch back and forth between two frames at both extremities of the foot backward motion, and try to have them match. I am glad we are finding new ideas and solutions, it also serves me well.

I don’t think I should mark the thread as solved since there’s still no very good way any of us know of to accomplish my original goal (dynamic speed adjustment) but I am leaving with the information I need for right now. Thank you everyone again!
