Some of these recent images like the glass vase and the rope are just about perfect (materials, lighting, and tonemapping).
The only imperfection I see is the fresnal effect on the oranges (fruit shouldn’t be seeing their colors disappear at glancing angles like that).

Some kind of characters, focusing on how they look at you. As always, cycles and a lot of postpro with photoshop.
Are these guys (and “fade to white”) sculpted or are they many meshes added together? Either way I really like the organic but hard-edged quality.

@Ace Dragon: glad you like it ace! Much appreciated. Yes, I realized that after posting the image and I won’t re-render it because took a while… but I’ve made a mini-render killing that ‘fresnel issue’… I think now looks a little bit better…
