Hi Chaps just a quick report back about from blender to prman creasing. Sorry if it’s a bit off topic as it isn’t directly related to openSubdiv as far as I’m aware:


From what bsavery said, after they collapse the modifer stack (which they have to in order to generate the rib) the creasing data disappears. I understand this might be due to applying the subsurf. As the mesh is converted to a subdivision mesh anyway, simply getting rid of it rather than applying it keeps the creasing data around which can then be included in the rib generation.

At least, I think that’s whats going on. If I have gotten any of this wrong, please correct me.

I have tried this using subsurfs and just manually changing the mesh to subdivision in the object properties and it works both ways without any errors.
