New decimate

Blender uses a form of data known as the derived mesh with modifiers (so it might be that it would then have to apply the modifier results to the general mesh data then since it’s technically no longer being ‘derived’)?

I have no idea however on whether or not this can be simplified and sped up, perhaps Campbell knows something.

Nice work! you can hand collapse any triangles back into quads / dissolve anything you don’t want by hand anyway,

this hopefully does not destroy windows cut in meshes all the time :smiley:

very cool feature, I’ll wait until the official release before I try, the download on the blender web dosen’t seem to work for me…
