Move over 4K, the first 8K TV will be on sale next month.

I wonder if upconverting 4k to 8k would still take advantage of the high pixel density.

Holographic TVs are about to come out, save your money; It’s like google glass’s in that it projects an image at the watchers eyes. Instead of a head mounted item it’s acrossed the room using facile tracking. Color is one its way. It’s worth the sort wait.

Sadly it means our gaming graphics will take a step back, more processing needed for the picture size and less for the rest.

Then why is Holographic better then “Real3D” TV’s?
You can now use your eyes lens’s for depth of field. Making it a more immersive and enjoyable experience.

holo TVs will be at least two years, and i personally think they’re just a gimmick, just like 4K, never mind 8K. until films strat being filmed in 4K or 8K, and DVDs are availiable in that, and general broadcasting is using it, there’s no point to 4K for 99% of people; it only depends on the size of your screen and where you sit.
