A wonderful set of renders! I love the lighting/textures/colors.
great work! gets my stars *****

Thanks for all the comments and critics. Always welcome.
About the time spent on the scene, this was made on my free time but took maybe a month.

nice renders, some might be better with lesser contrast.i think in archviz we are used to seeing tonemapped, evenly lit images(a trend similar to digital photography).what is your opinion of cycles(vs thea, lux) in light distribution, shading - sometimes cycles interiors look flat,do you notice the problem?

You are right, rusted. I cant really put my finger on, because I’m just an artist/end user but I have some trouble with the flatness of Cycles. Maybe that’s why I overdo the contrast.
I fell I have to take more time in tweaking the light and shaders to get the look that I want and that takes the time that I gain with a render with live update.

Very nice renderings.
For my taste the contrast is to mutch as well.

I miss the photorealism which I see in renderings of Octane, V-Ray, Corona, Maxwell…
People say it’s because of the user, but I guess it’s because of Cycles.

Kind regards
Alain

Holy hell great work and wonderful style. Congratulations man. The colors/lighting/texturing/choice of objects and compositing set a great mood. Good taste, good work.

From this scene I decided to share some models. These are my versions of some design furniture.
One is the Token Lounge Chair (http://tokennyc.com/) and the Lake Credenza by BDDW (http://bddw.com/furniture/storage/lake_credenza).
They are in packed blend files. The models are grouped, so is easy to append in your scenes. They are Cycles ready. Just it render!
