'Dirt and decay' with Osl shading...

I will check it Bobizib…

Btw, your node setup needs a lot of investigation as to its abilities… it seems that someone may arrive to many astonishing results having it as a base. The only needed thing is finding enough time to experiment with it.

Hi

Blender crash every time i try to use this script. Can anyone help me with this ?

I use Blender 2.71

Is it possible to share a blend file with a sample ?

I am putting below two sample files… just for anyone who wants to experiment with the shader node schema working with the related script:

http://www.filedropper.com/dirtanddecaysend

http://www.filedropper.com/grungeshadingsend

Those links aren’t working for me, Fatesailor. They just redirect to the front page of filedropper. Could anyone rehost them? I could put them on my dropbox as well if you like.

This fits nice for my armored suit characters. Nice job op.

Great stuff!

Where can I get this goodness?

Is it a ready to be used node (drag and drop, so to speak) ?

What are the prerequisites for mesh ? (would it work on low poly meses)

Thanks!

Is this thread dead?

post 1431 the horse file

edit:I don`t think you can “only” copy the OSL to nodes

It should work on a low poly mesh better than on a high poly mesh

Thanks, I will mess with it!

Any update on this edge dirt shader ?.
i tried to rebuild it without luck :/. especially the cycles baking seems to give problems.
anyone solved this and made a fully functional node for cycles which also bake properly

You should use pointiness geometry output, it’s faster to use and works for GPU rendering

sweet and awesome!!

Well pointiness it doesn’t not work the same as this Osl script.

great boy

Those look great! Nice results.
