default light set in glsl texture paint mode

Michalis, you’ve been seriously misinformed

OK OK, I give up.
BTW what directx has to do with zbrush?

In topic:
I’m not really interested in any default light set up, or any other default settings.
Default blender settings and my needs are two different worlds. :eyebrowlift:

Nothing, apparently, at least not in viewport rendering department. That doesn’t mean it’s due to it “not being an OpenGL app” is what provides it with all those effects, or not being hardware accelerated at all, as it apparently is. Sure, they have their own custom renderer, but math is math. I’m not trying to defend Blender here, just pointing out that just the fact of using OGL for display doesn’t automatically mean something’s not possible.

Hi ,

There is a very nice light template for the paint lightning:

Like Craig said, you can setup a template with this lightning studio in a default blend to texture paint.

Bye bye.

I think it’s an good idea, when modeling I would like to have no light, shadeless colors. trying to fix it with the OpenGL Light setup in user prefs, but still it’s not there yet. I would be so happy if there was a “shadeless” option in user prefs.
