1D_Inc: thank you for your model, I definately gonna think about using it in the store.
Bernardo, Narcotic: thanks
cekuhnen: most of the textures were downloaded from CgTextures and then processed in Photoshop. Some of the fabrics come from our own resources (I’m currently also working on a texture website which will be released by the end of this summer).
MDubzem - current website was created using www.goodsie.com which I highly recommend anyone planning to establish an on-line store very quickly. It has some limitations but the ease of use, final look and the way of managing digital products were unbeatable by any other on-line marketing platform I’ve tested (but that’s my personal experience).
Firs of I want to say Good Job and good luck. As a former furniture maker student in Sweden I recognize a few design that are more or less copied designs I have seen in production here in Sweden. I looked at your site and couldn’t find any credits for any designer. Is this something you are thinking to ad? I guess my question is, if an 3d artist using a design for commercial work, can we get in problem then? or is it a grey area?
Great work. Love all the design elements on display and the quality of the renders is fantastic. I second that i’d like to see designer credits for all the objects unless of course you are the designer? Please let us know.
As for adding elements for the masses like tv’s and couches and friendly stuff, I personally think the people buying these items like to see the objects as art in these stylised environments. You’re selling the models for companies and individuals to use in arch-viz. Why does arch-viz include european minimalistic design rather than real world homes ? Because a lot of the projects that can afford the arch-viz as part of the job are projects that use this furniture and minimalistic expensive design in the real physical design.
It is rare an ‘ordinary home’ will require an arch-viz company, and rarer that they will be buying furniture designed by famous designers.
Another thing is the store is focusing on the elements individually, to buy. There is no need to invoke feelings. That’s up to the job of the person who bought it, when creating whatever project they have bought it for.
Some ‘used in these scens images’ would be nice in the gallery section of your store, once you have sold quite a few and people have sent them in. I like what you’re ambitions are and wish you luck
If you model the same furniture, in same quality as designconnected then you are on the right way, or again: you better work together with them because as you already know they are experimenting with Blender as well
Another idea is to build modular kitchenelements because here in german europe they all have a mostly the same size for modular kitchenelements and in most archviz they have those standard-kitchens. This way people are able to build kitchens very fast.
Cramer - Models were inspired on the concepts/existing furniture photographs I came across the internet. I didn’t use any plans or original sketches to create them so they always differ from the originals. As for the authors, currently I’m working on adding the reference links.
jharford - Showroom gallery will be added in the future when I or other users produce more pictures
Alain - thanks for the ideas! As for the DesignConnected, I think all of us would be happy if they decide to start preparing their models for Blender. My plans for creating future Blender content are not only the models
