Pure entry, done with Cycles using 2,000 samples. This is my first entry in this competition, getting back into Blender after a long hiatus. The environment is kind of awful, but… oh well. I hope I submitted this right.

@Modron I was experimenting a lot with lighting on this project, I initially tried a GOBO + spot but that wasn’t giving me the effect I wanted. So I played around with volumetric shading and applied it to the GOBO with an emission plane behind it just to see the effect, and it worked quite nicely. A very crude method and I am sure there is a better technique :stuck_out_tongue:
