Here is my entry. It is a pure entry done in Cycles
It is a series of small planes on one render layer and a curved object on another render layer and both are edited together with various blur and glow effects in the compositor and then adding some text in GIMP.
This is my take on the Ridiculously photogenic Horse meme going around.

Fairly Pure entry:
The background trees and sky stars were done in Gimp
The fireflies,grass and Moon were done in Blender, Rendered with Cycles
the compositor was used for glow and blur effects, Gimp was used to add the subtle grey tones to the moon afterwards

I apologize for all the noise. I just thought of this idea today, but because of school I didn’t have much time. This is a pure entry rendered in cycles with 250 samples.
