tried an abstract background:

and another abstract background. also using the ocean modifier but with cubes:

Some sweet effects here. I like the color choices too.

Love the grass, forest, and cube ocean effect. Keep up the great work.

thanks guys, glad you like it. here another abstract background:

here a rotating loopable version of that diamond above (with fancy sparkles):

and also raining diamonds. these take quite the time to render with cycles, because it needs a lot of bounces to look diamondy :).

here the same idea with fake euro coins (apparently the backside of the coins and the banknotes are copyrighted). created my first normal map ever with this :).

wanted to create “fancy lines” and played around with the cloth sim for that purpose:

a little proof of concept. inspired by terrey gilliam and the rock-of-ages-cutscenes. plato in da house:

opengl render btw.

Nice work. I really like the coin rain, looks like a lot of render time though. I wonder how much motion blur and shallow DOF would add ni render time

Thanks man. Afair at least parts of it were rendered on Genome36’s renderfarm blendercluster. I think there’s a littlr bit of motion blur.

The rain of euros looks really good. It would make a nice screen saver. I like the ocean of lights too.
