Amazingly fast, open source, accurate fluid solver. Blender compatible.

You can get fine details (pyroclastic noise) with our solver, but you have to crank the resolution up incredibly high and then pray that you get the sim that you want. There should definitely be a post-process option to add surface noise as in Fume or Phoenix on top of the existing Wavelet and FFT solvers.

Any news?
When large scale flipfluids official solver and mesher + splah + foam by default in blender?
Who is the best candidate? :
Mantaflow or fluids v3 or dualsphysics?
Thx!.

What does “there seems to be another great water simulator which also already works with Blender” mean? DualSPHysics looks amazing.

Roman Pogribnyi continued to work on his mantaflow branch after gsoc.

In November 2014, he added a liquid solver.

Problem occurs when you increase resolution up to 32 (default one).
Instead of obtaining a more detailed flow, simulation becomes intermittent ( some voxels needed are not detected).

So, Roman decided to increase his skills before going back to fluid by working on a smoke 2D solver.

It was just added to his soc-2014-fluid branch at the end of January-start of February 2015.
