newbie question

Blendering for a while but Just started learning cycles rendering. Or any rendering. But i have a simple problem for you. Im my camera view i see my scene, in my renders i get the whole background area as well. So not my camera view. :spin: i was trying out all the render settings and obviusly did something wrong i cant find. I tried the border setting but that dosent help. Your camera has a Fisheye lens, and thought cycles can deal with panoramic distortions, the viewport can’t.
180º is the equivalent to render 1/2 of the whole scene.

You can reduce the field of view, or if you don’t need that kind of distortion you can simply change your camera to ‘Perspective’ (and then it will match with the viewport.
