Clone painting is not behaving correctly

I have an eye which is made up of two spheres one slightly larger than the other. The larger sphere has translucent material to create a shine, the sphere under that should have the eye texture. I’m trying to somehow get the texture on that object and im running into a lot of difficulties.

When I select the object and UV project from view, then open my eyeball texture it comes comes up on the edit view and it looks good. How can I make sure that the texture is applied? Im following a tutorial and the guy uses texture cloning, so I tried it but the texture is not being painted on!

Here is my blend file. http://www.filedropper.com/mickey09-v2_1
And here is the texture for the eyeball. http://www.filedropper.com/eyeballsource

I have done clone painting before but I’m really having trouble on this particular part. If any of you could get it to work and give me detailed tips that would be great, im not experienced in this stuff.

Thanks in advance

Hi

If this is what You want.

Here is what i did.

I seleted mickey_eyeball_texture in Materiale tap - in texture tap I loaded Your imagefile.

Now the the Eyeball have the imagefile assigned to the mesh.

In edit mode.

Select Face select or c and select the Iris.

In Uv - Editor You will see only the Iris mesh is selected…Now I load the Image to the Uv - editor.

Here You use same key as in in edit or object mode…So just place it…That it…

You don’t need to opload image file You can pack them with the Blend file.

FileMenu - File - External Data .
