Rigging joined objects

Hi,

I made a cylinder with 4 markers (spheres). I used the join command to make a single object and added an armature.
But when I rotate the object, the markers follow the cylinder.
But if I rotate the armature then only the cylinder is rotated.

Is there a way where armature moves properly the cylinder and the markers are also following the armature deformation?

Yes, but I don’t really know how you want the markers to move. You can in edit mode select the vertices for one marker at a time, then in Vertex Groups find the bone you want to attach it to (which is a pain in the ass since your bones are not named correctly, find the right bone in pose mode first I guess), then after selecting the bone click Assign and the markers will follow that bone.
