How can I import mp4 into blender?

Hello everyone. I don’t know a thing about video editing, but I’m making some educational videos and want to put pictures on them.

I made a video using my Logitech C920 webcam which generates mp4 videos (fine by me). However, when I tried to look for the video using BLENDER I couldn’t find it.

Is there some setting I need to edit? or does BLENDER not support mp4? :frowning:

Load into the video editor, Add / Movie menu or the Compositor, Add / Image menu.
You can also add as a texture input for a material or as a background image
