Need experts to help revise 3 existing Blender books for Focal/CRC Press

I am the executive editor for gaming/animation at Focal Press/CRC Press, imprints of the Taylor & Francis Group. We publish a number of blender books that you may already be familiar with.

What is needed is someone or some people willing to come on board and work with the current author to revise Blender Foundations, Tradigital Blender, and Blender Production, all by Roland Hess. This would be a co-authorship arrangement and a collaborative effort.

We are looking for someone expert in Blender, particularly someone already familiar with these books and their specific takes on Blender. The work entails updating the text and screenshots/images throughout. This work is informed by what the authorship feels needs to be obviously updated as well as by peer reviews of the existing title. For any revisions of these books we are also looking to add video tutorials as well.

The timeline would vary depending on who helps and what the publishing timeline for the book will be based on everyone’s existing obligations. Payment is in the form of an initial advance and/or grant and royalty share–the same as with any of our book contracts.

If anyone is interested, you can email me directly at [email protected]. CV/resume, portfolio and a quick background about yourself would be appreciated.

This could be an exciting opportunity to contribute as a full author (not a contributor) to already best-selling books and potentially even launch your own Blender or related book in the future!
