Placing the 3d cursor

I have a pie menu installed and it comes up when I right click. How do I place my cursor since I cannot use my right mouse button? This was answered before and I thought I had written it down. I believe it is Wazou’s pie menu

Go into User Preferences / Input and change the shortcut for placing the 3d cursor (search for cursor). Then save your settings

I believe the alt key and right mouse click is to be used with the 3d cursor and Wazou’s pie menu.When I do this my cursor goes to where I click and then moves to another location. Why will it not stay where i place it.
