Smoke render question (PLZ HELP)

Hello, I have a question about the smoke render in blender.

How can I make the smoke look like the Preview. The preview smoke look so good, before the render.
I know how to set up the smoke material just can’t get it to look like that.

Also if you use cycles for smoke and set up bright/contrast to it, you can make the smoke look
really cool, but how would you get the same effect when you not using cycles?

plz help.

Rather than using the Brightness/Contrast Node, try the Hue/Sat/Value Node instead. I think it gives you much more latitude when tweaking volumes.

I did a tutorial that uses the technique here: https://youtu.be/jnzzUrYg_Ng (Look around 9:30 for where I put in the Hue/Sat/Value Node.) If you don’t have any useful color input, just pick a color in the HSV Node and go with that.

I don’t mention this in the tutorial, but changing your Volume bounces in the render settings makes a big difference, particularly when choosing between 0 and 1 bounces. I often like to go with 0 because of the increase in speed and decrease in noise, but it may not give you the look you want.
