render open vdb from houdini

Hey guys.
This is my first post here.
I’ve just started getting into blender, mostly because cycles is awesome
I’m doing a jobat the moment, where I need to render volumes for nebula and galaxies.
I am creating my shapes in houdini but would like to render them in cycles via open vdb.
I found this link, but I have no idea how to use it.
http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:Kevindietrich/OpenVDBRendering
I’ve downloaded the demo scene, and vdb file, but when I open the scene, I only get a volume block in my render.
Does anyone here know how to use this scene?
I’m very new in blender so i don’t even know how to point blender to the vdb file.
Any help would be great!
Thanks
Gerbrand

The OpenVDB integration is unfinished and isn’t included in release builds of Blender. You’ll probably have to patch and compile Blender yourself to get it, unless you can find a build someone else put together.

EDIT: patch lives here: https://developer.blender.org/D1308

I really need to get my head around building software… I hit so many walls because something cool is on github, and I have no clue what to do with it :frowning:
Anyway, Thanks for the help and link
