Tbh I’m quite new to Blender. As I’ve worked on Blender for a few months, I find the current back ground color of full grey quite irritating sometimes when I worked and preview my rendered model. Nevertheless, I have no idea which theme is the best to set? Any recommendations?

It all depends on your eyesight, preferences and illumination (e.g. I use different themes at day, with natural light than the ones I use at night, with lamps shining).
Nearly all blender themes I’ve seen, use a gray background color.
If you want to change it go to User Preferences>Themes
Under presets there is a list click 3D View and scroll down to the bottom and look for Gradient High/Off.
