Knife tool: how to cut a vertical edge?

I want to cut a vertical edge (90 degrees) from 1 edge to another

I want to be exact 90 degree edge so, how i can do this with blender?

Select edge which you want to be based on, View - Align View to Selected ; use C key to limit Knife tool.

Here’s what I’ve done:
When having knifed a non 90 degree cut align the line to 90 degrees:

  1. select both point and then press “S” (scale) “Y” (axis) “0” (zero) and lastly “Enter”
  2. the cut will align to Y -axis

Ne sure to have “pivot” option set as in the pic.
