That looks really nifty!

Could it have an option to put snow only in the faces with normals pointing to the z+ axis?

Man you’re a machine! You should really group all your recent tools into a big VFX Addon, this is really nice!

Very very nice :slight_smile:

@Breagha
Thanks!
@Looch

Amazing. Looks great!

I’d be really interested to give this a try.

Nice work.
Can it also be made to have a property of being influenced by the light (sun), melting faster than in shadow?

Really good looking.
I was wondering when do you think this will be available?
Do you also plan to add this through cgcookiemarkets.com ?

Tutorial:

I got the plugin - when i select my tree (made by the grove) and trying to “add snow system” it crashes Blender.
app version: 2.76b hash: f337fea
OS: Mac OS X 10.11

I found the issue: i didnt convert the grove tree to Poly. Sorry about that

Hi,
this looks very good indeed.
When I see the tree example, I see that one thing is missing, and that is oclusion from top - this means, not to generate snow in areas, where it was allready caught by the upper branches - this would make much more naturally looking snow distribution. This is also visible on the last cube example, where the snow catches a bit too much on the sides of the box. Simply make an occlusion parameter, which doesn’t enable snow to be generated under areas that are allready covered, but with some ‘bleed’, because, sometimes a bit of snow gets to a certain distance under another surface, this is dependent on the angle of the falling snow and also on the chaotic movement of the particles…
