Hi. I was looking for a noise reduction functions. I think this is the best solutions for implementing this to render. And it will have a huge leap in CG world.
Lukas is already looking into a (much more recent) paper that involves noise reduction. Generally, a lot of denoising papers have one or more of the following issues…
- They tend to leave artifacts (and trade high-frequency noise for low frequency noise)
- They can be poor at cases such as motion blur and DOF
- They scale up poorly when large sample counts are involved (as opposed to the low counts in the paper)
- They tend to flicker during animation
- They tend to have cases where a noticeable loss of detail occurs
Fortunately, some of the absolute most recent ones are starting to overcome these points.
Intel has a best choice for Motion Blur and DoF blurring in Path Tracing. I think there is no developer or coder to implement codes to Cycles. And Cycles has to increase up it s dependecies. Here is resul and this video made me amaze this work.
