Audio and video out of sync

Hi,

I am trying to cut some scenes out of a .MKV file. when i look up the proporties of the file in a media player it gives me the following info:

Video: MPEG4 Video (H264) 1280x720 23.976fps [V: h264 high L3.1, yuv420p, 1280x720 [default]]
Audio: AAC 48000Hz stereo [A: English [eng] (aac he-aac, 48000 Hz, stereo) [default]]

These are my Blender render presets:

when i render a random 60 seconds during scene from the file the audio and video are slighty out of sync and i can’t figure out how to fix this.

Does anyone know how i can fix this?

Could it be a rounding error in the frame rate? Anyway if it is possible I strongly suggest that you transcode your source media to something less compressed, as Blender works better with less temporal compression. Still frame sequences are best.
