Help with Baking, for my game.

Hello i`m new to cycles, and was wondering if anybody could help me out, when i render my
scene freezer scene http://www.pasteall.org/blend/38469

It has loads of noise and i can`t seem to reduce it, maybe someone can help ?

Have you tried to up the render samples up to 512 (non-squared)? I find that a 102x1024 texture, rendered at 512 samples is good enough.

Yeah im getting there now, as im baking them and it takes ages.
I`m trying to make a LM like this here, can some one give me tips please.


If you bake the shadows in the game how will you match the dynamic shadows with the baked ones?
When I tried to do this they would never match up. The dynamic shadow would look darker and always be on top.

What`s the best way around this ? should i just bake AO.

That’s what I would do. AO looks ok. You could also bake diffuse color or transmission color, or one of the other ones for the color bleeding effects. I’m not sure which one does that though.

I’ve seen them somehow blend the baked and dynamic shadows in Unreal engine and others, but I don’t know if it’s possible with BGE. Maybe ask in the game engine section?
