Massive arm movements with little mouse movements

Im learning how to rig and I am practicing on this mesh I made. But when I was rigging the arm, in pose mode the arm would flail wildly and I cant control it. Did I do something wrong in its rigging? Any advice with rigging is appreciated =D

Haven’t looked at the .blend file just yet, but from that description it sounds like there’s probably a problem with a cyclic dependency. (Armature behaving as if from spazmatic flail city.) If you have any IK’s, might want to check the chain lengths and check to see if anything the IK bones control happens to affect the IK or IK pole targets.

If you look up something like “IK rigging cyclic dependency blender” in a search engine, you might be able to find the relevant info.

I have taken a real quick look at the .blend file myself and that’s exactly what is happening. I haven’t really done any deep troubleshooting, but it most likely is an issue with dependencies and bone parenting
