No sleep for the wicked as they say.
So it’s time for new free time project. I chose to continue with British racing cars as I’m modeling Lotus Esprit!
And it’s going to be GT1 racing Lotus!
Textures made with Quixel.
EDIT. Around 60 hours of modeling/texturing.

Oh, this is gonna be good…
Excellent choice of car, I’ve loved these things ever since seeing that white S1 from The Spy Who Loved Me. Also a coincidence that Giugiaro designed the original, as he also designed the Golf Mk1!
Can’t wait to see the twist

You’re right! I didn’t even remembered that! :D:D
And yeah, Mr. Bond is in there somewhere in my back skull but gotta say the twist is not a submarine!
I can’t wait to see how this turns out!

About 6 hours so far. Piece by piece.
Edit. Amiga’s Lotus Turbo Challenge 2 theme started to play in my head.

Looking forward to see further progress. I’m modeling my first car in blender at the moment, so these WIP threads help a lot !
The shading looks strange in that marked area…don’t know if there is a mesh issue or if my eye plays tricks on me

Thanks! Yeah, there are some pinches and little errors to be fixed and I tend to fix those as the modeling progress goes on. It should be better already!
13 hours of work.

Good wireframe overall, but looks a bit too dense in the rear part.

Thanks! Yeah, I divide the wires more evenly (aka more wires to the middle part). Back end has a bit more geometry so it’s a bit unbalanced right now.
Anyway. Did some windows, windshield and trims.
About 18 hours of work so far.
Very nice modeling and shapes, I like it.
