Helge,

You really need to animate those little guys. That would be sooooo awesome. Like little alien three stooges.

robert wireframe/solid please <3 this one really impressed me!

helge, was it on purpose to put the eye of the (mountain?) under the plank? if so really nice touch xD

Helge that is just a really nice piece, the storytelling is fabulous, and so creative. And yes, finalbarrage the positions of all the objects in the scene are obviously skillfully placed and with an “eye” for an endgame scenario. The very first time I looked, while I was drawn to it and liked it, I did not “get” the story. I saw it more as metaphor for futility. Not that I see it’s hilarious and the more you look at it. It’s kind of begging for an animation…

I so wanted to vote for Mswan, it really captures the spirit of the topic.

finalbarrage: Thanks. Some wires.

Photox: Your render brings back some fun memories. Really enjoyable!

Helge: I think pre-existing textures would usually not be much of a concern unless they are used to make up most of the scene (e.g. a background image “texture” of a mountain with only one tiny bird or rock actually modeled and composited). In situations where pre-existing textures contribute strongly to a scene, especially in close-up images, it could be helpful if people mentioned that so it could be taken into consideration by voters. I also think it would be helpful to have a link to the WC rules with each new WC post.

Ryeath: Very well done. You got my vote!

Everyone else: Thanks for your excellent efforts! Great work all around!

Thalia Brunner, I really like your images, this one in particular is funny & inspirational (the arm is already hurted but ready for an early run). Regards from Mexico.

like your work photox, i remember when i was a kid and i would do that at my grandmothers but, we used a pillow to slide down the steps it was a bumpy ride down.

Robert T, Midnightcpu, thanks. The render is based on a true story. My best friend and I went down our stairs in a cardboard box. I was in the back on landed on him when we crashed. He broke his arm, and I was just a little banged up. Good times.

Thanks opulenthawk, glad you noticed that little detail and congratulations on your great entry this week
Well done everyone, some wonderful entries , I love seeing the different interpretations of the theme
