Blinkey (0.2) - Filter-based Visibility Shortcuts

GitHub Releases Page - https://github.com/Takanu/Blinkey/releases

Blinkey is a 3D View Properties panel that lets you change the visibility settings of objects in your scene using user-defined name and object type filters. You can create presets and filters using the Addon Preferences Menu (shown below), and apply different visibility settings by selecting the drag-down menu next to the filter you want to use.

Visibility Options Available

  • Solid
  • Box Bounds
  • Wireframe
  • Wire
  • Texture
  • Hide

Filter Options Available

  • Object Name Filtering (provide text to be found in the prefix, suffix or entire name text)
  • Object Type Filtering (every object type available)

More visibility and filter options can be added on request, and if you have any questions or bug reports, also post here or on the GitHub issues section. Not sure if this will be useful to many people, as I mainly designed it for myself as a weekend project, but heyho :3

Can you add, “selectable” so you can filter what can be selected and what cant?.

I presume you mean to add a separate toggle to each filter to define whether or not the objects that apply to it can be selected? That’s actually a really good idea, I’ll figure out a patch and hopefully update it in a few hours

cool script, thanks!

0.15 Released - (https://github.com/Takanu/Blinkey/releases)

Added the feature requested by Looch to toggle whether or not objects in filters can be selected. This is probably hacky, and i know theres at least one bug i need to fix, but i don’t have enough time tonight to. Ill deal with it over the next day or two X)

Thanks you so much @Crocadillian, you speed up my workflow!
Congrats and good luck for the following release.
