I’ve been working on this for a while now, finally finished it.


Looks really cool! I really like the trees standing on the side of it.

Are the shadows ‘baked’ into the texture itself by any chance?

Usually, that is something you don’t want and is leading to a jarring effect in parts of the image. Preferably, you would find a way to remove the shadows and instead focus on having the detail come from bumpmapping and displacement.

Here’s a revised image where I edited the texture image to remove any shadows. There are some dark horizontal areas these are part of the natural geology.

The image still appears somewhat flat, perhaps DoF and better lighting could help?
