Just bought this, thought I’d give it a try…see what it’s all about.
ZERO installation instructions. Found a thread where MIke affirmed that, yes, installing a zip file was the way to do it. What the hell does that mean. Damn “Easy Game” with zero instructions. So, how do I “Install a zip file into Blender”. No tutorials I can find, no thread here…so, I guess I’m the only one out there who doesn’t get it.
Sound irritated? Yes, I am. I hate assumptions of knowledge when I’ve paid for something. I own a business, so I knwo all about customer service, and when it goes wrong. At this point, I need to wait on someone to show me how to use what I just paid for. I should be using the product I just bought. Yes, I asked a few places on the Blender Market.
Edit: Nothing in the official Blender Manual. Sigh. Why would it not occur to include instructions?
Supposedly if you buy an addon in “Blender Market”, you can get support. In the link that you indicated there is a tab “Support” and another tab “Documentation”.
Have you tried that?
With all respect, calm your biscuits, man. This could have easily solved calmly and collectively. It’s as simple as searching up “How to install a blender add-on”. Installing an add-on is also a part of a Blenderhead’s common knowledge. Also, people won’t be as ready to help you when you burst out and have a temper-tantrum.
Being objective, the add-on section of user-prefs is pretty easy to find It’s an easy mistake to make though, especially if it is the wrong time of day
Yea, rough day, that day, all day. Frustrating clients. Chatted with Mike Pan via the website. I honestly didn’t even know it was an add on. I’m just a humble modeler…but it’s a great add on. Recommended.
I don’t play with nodes much as I’m pretty much 100 % real-time. Looks great though. I just downloaded it the other day, and I think I’ve got it all figured out. Pretty straightforward. I need to add his camera setup to a first person character (no hands or anything needed). I jut nee it to interact with walls, gravity etc. Mike’s is a fly through setup.
I’d love to attach Mike Pan’s camera with all of its depth of field stuff hooked up…but I think that’s separate…to a simple walking character with no arms. Just simple jump, walk, run etc. Maybe “E” to interact with doors etc. It would be awesome if you could do that for me! I’ve tried it…beyond me. I just model. I’d be very happy to give you any model or set you like in exchange, if you want anything. I’ve got loads of furniture etc setup for games.
Well…work in your scene, but when I simply import all objects into my scene…the cubes will drive around, but that’s it. I can select your camera to look out of, but it just moves the blocks. Not sure why the camera is several feet behind the blocks. Not sure how to import this and make it work. Can’t seem to just select your camera and walk. Thanks for the effort…works in your file…not sure what to do. Any thoughts?
Thanks. I’ll play with this new one in a bit. I can’t think of anything SCi-Fi (I’m a Medieval Geek) off the top of my head, but let me know if you need a specific texture or something down the road. I do like a nice, grungy Sci-Fi set though. The Metro Last Light game, for example.
I did make a low poly porn newspaper machine a while ago, if you want it for a spaceship break-room. Har!
