Replacing Strands in the Particle System

Hey, so I’ve been working on my first nature scene and I wanted to place on the ground some grass, grass that I’ve made myself.

Basically, I created a simple Grass Species and I wanted to replace the traditional Strands with my Grass model but so far I haven’t been able to figure it out. I know you can do it but just not how to do it. Does it involve Vertex Groups by any chance?

In the Particle / Render panel select Objectand select the grass object. Alternatively with multiple grass objects add then to a group (Ctrl+G) and select Group in the particle render settings. Ensure to position the origin of the grass object appropriately and its rotation
