I was wondering if you could help me or perhaps point me in the direction of any resource that would help me identify a painting that I saw a few years ago and have not been able to identify since then.
It was a realistic landscape painting of a vast, lush forest seen from afar, with a very small (relative to the size of the painting group of men huddled around a campfire in the middle of this forest. The style kind of reminds me of Thomas Cole (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thomas_Cole), who also made realistic paintings where people were small highlights in the middle of vast landscapes.
I would love to be able to see this image again, so I would appreciate any help that you can provide.
