particle loop animation

hi everyone,

I’ve been using Blender a few months now and I’m looking into the particle system.

is it possible to create a seamless animation loop with the particle system? I’m looking to make some swirling gas/plasma. I’ve done cyclic animation with objects, just wondering if it’s doable with the particle system…

any suggestions would be most helpful…thanks!

One idea I had was to have an emitter emit from frames 1-30 and make an identical emitter that emits from 31-60

then just use the frames 31-60 for the animation. In theory it should loop…

any other ideas?

okay I realize now it’s not possible to make the seamless loop in Blender… it needs to happen outside. I’m okay with that. I’ve been looking for tutorials on how to make swirling plasma… can anyone help? thanks…

It’s possible with two identical emitters like you said. Set your lifetime same as your time shift and it will loop seamlessly.

I actually used timeline start-end to loop it, maybe you’d better adjust start-end in particle system settings.
