Photo or CGI?

I will post the answer if this gets at least 15 replies.

Pretty sure it is a photo…

it’s either computer generated or post processed.

Photo from Cassini probe

Even if it is an image from a sattelite fly-by, that is heavily digital, with “false colors” and so on.

This Most certainly is a CGI based on data… From this distance the rings should show at least some detail… unless this if a long exposure, in which case the shadow should not be focused.

seeing as it looks like celestia

but because Cassini’s ISS camera is black and white the UV and green and IR filters are normally used to recreate a color image
but Cassini also has a RED and a BLUE along with a GREEN narrow band filters

a composite of the PDS images is a good bet

Last time I put up this poll, 14% of the people said photo. the rest said CGI made in Blender

with the first image being so LOW resolution then enlarged
the resolution in it is much lower than the data in PDS for Oct 2013

CG,
it’s way too obvious
shadows aren’t that hard

Image:

This portrait looking down on Saturn and its rings was created from images obtained by NASA’s Cassini spacecraft on Oct. 10, 2013. It was made by amateur image processor and Cassini fan Gordan Ugarkovic. This image has not been geometrically corrected for shifts in the spacecraft perspective and still has some camera artifacts. The mosaic was created from 12 image footprints with red, blue and green filters from Cassini’s imaging science subsystem. Ugarkovic used full color sets for 11 of the footprints and red and blue images for one footprint.

Im gonna guess CG.

It’s definitely a painting by one of those masters in the 1400’s

When you see images of a galaxy 3.2 billion/trillion light years away you know science rocks.

But to see a photograph/video of satellights from space in earth orbit. Priceless.

Edited photo, if you bright/contrast adjust it you can clearly see it’s been rotated, which would not have been necessary if it was CGI, so manipulated photo.

You can even see the tiles it was made from.
