Does BlenderCookie still sell Dvds?

Sorry if this isn’t a good place to post this… But being away for a bit, i see that CGCookie has completely renovated their website. I don’t want to be angry at change cause im sure it’s great… But i am so lost right now.

There’s this thing in my family where each year they’ve been giving me a Blender Dvd for Birthdays and christmas and stuff.

And the obvious one is coming up but i can’t find where they sell Training Dvd’s anymore to choose one x:

I like the old Blender cookie a lot better. Now I don’t go to that website anymore because it seems like the site tries to hide tutorials. It’s harder to locate them than before.

If you are talking about Gooseberry, it is being sold on the official blender.org store

It’s more that they’re switching direction. The old tutorials have been put in the archive, which I’m fairly sure you currently have to be a citizen to download anything from (they stopped streaming the old tutorials).

They’re focus seems to be making good content for beginners and having a flow for learning, so that after you watch one tutorial, you can go to the next and it builds off the last one properly. It’s just so that the content is a bit more balanced.

thats too bad. i seen a clip of j williamsons (? sp) human modeling dvd. if i wanted to model humans it would have been my first choice to learn. i suspect some of the others would have been just as good.

There are 5 of the CGcookie dvds still being sold at blender.org http://www.blender3d.org/e-shop/default_dvds.php

Thanks so much for the link :slight_smile:

It is kind of a shame… most of the non beginner stuff ones are the ones i already have ;-;

If you wanna learn to model humans, David Ward has some nice stuff on youtube, although they lean a bit towards the non photo-realistic. Which i kind of like to be honest.
