Playing around with procedural materials:

Does not look quite right yet.

Tried out some 3D scanning using my smartphone camera (Galaxy S3 neo):

I like the bust in your fist post. The dragon scan also turned out really well! I didn’t know you can do scans with a phone. I always thought you needed special equipment.

Thanks (: Well, the technique uses a lot of different (70 in my case) pictures and no special depth information whatsoever. This is from my understanding somewhat less accurate and can not handle certain surfaces (like glossy ones) compared to “professional” solutions.

If you are interested in the process check out this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6eqW6yk50k I roughly followed that one.

A dragon sculpt that I’m currently working on due to my internship at Imagestorm:

C&C welcome. Still have to add a lot of detail. The reference is a sculpt that I found on cgtextures.

Hey special_ops  I think your work looks very good and i am looking forward to see the final dragon skulpt! Keep it going

Worked a bit on the dragon:

Also did some architectural doodling as archviz is something I wanted to do for quite a while (modeling in Blender, basic rendering with vray in maya):

Tried out some stylized game environment (based on a nice ZBrush tutorial by Alex Jerjomin):

Had some more fun with the scene:

(the pillar on the right is supposed to become a corner piece for walls)

Overworked the composition and added more assets:

A lot of work atm; did finish up some of the retopology for the dwarf (the armor pieces):

I also sketched out some of the materials, I guess I will go for a lighter bronze for the body armor. C&C welcome.

Did some hardsurface modeling based on some nice concept art by Esbjörn Nord ( http://polycount.com/discussion/comment/2036417/#Comment_2036417 ):

Had some spare time in between projects and made a chair I found on the IKEA homepage:

Great dwarf, chair… everything!

Great sketchbook, mate. Thanks for sharing.
