Decimate and its after effects

So i had a few high poly models i needed to reduce drastically but after the decimate the mesh is now all jagged triangles etc. Makes it hard to uv map it. Is there a automated way to line up neaten the quads after decimate?

Try to use the un-subdivide option but, apart from that, decimate tries to preserve shape, not topology.

You can try Alt+J, Tris to quads and max angle 180 degrees.

Unsubdivide didn’t work. How do u set the angle for tris to quad conversion Juhaw?
