Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Who doesn’t love a good recreation of Star Wars in Lego? I could have spent more time editing the faces, but I just learned some good techniques for future videos. I also wanted to know if my bump maps seemed to heavy… Thanks!

There’s a lot here that looks good. I’d say that the bump maps were too heavy on the mini-figs; here they look like they’ve been put through a sand-blaster. Mini-figs have a very fine, grainy texture most everywhere except for the head and torso. I’d suggest just going back, with an actual mini-figure for reference (perhaps with a magnifying glass or some high-res pictures), and tweaking your materials. I’d actually set the bump map influence to zero, and slowly turn it up.

I also spotted Jar-Jar. Very appropriate placement.

Hi rgflake,

I saw your video a few days ago on blendernation, it was cool! good job.
but yeah, the bump is a bit heavy! other than that it’s cool!

Mathias.

I’m really glad this was put together! Agreed that the bump maps are a little heavy, but good work.

Great job!
However the moment, when lightsaber jumped from one characters to another made me giggle)
